Help PAWS Find Homes for Unwanted Animals!

On Friday, May 30, 2008, a Saipan resident found a box taped shut on the side of the road in Navy Hill. The box contained four (4) kittens that are estimated to be around 5-6 weeks old.

“We know people are desperate to find homes for animals, but to go to this extreme is cruel. Call PAWS at 285-PAWS and we will help you find a home for unwanted animals,” said PAWS President and Chair of the Beautify CNMI! Animal Welfare Committee Busenkell.

"Dumping animals like this does nothing to benefit our island. If the animals die - they will stink. If they live - they will feed off of our native birds and raid trash cans in an effort to survive. The best solution is to find a responsible home where the animals will properly looked after and cared for."

The kittens appear to be healthy and happy at their foster home. If you are interested in fostering and/or adopting one of these playful and loving kittens, please contact Rachell via email at rachell.miles@gmail.com or at 322-2104 or 286-7909.

Also available for adoption is a male kitten that is thought to be about 6-8 weeks old. “He has beautiful markings and would be a perfect cat for a family with no other animals,” said PAWS Vice President Melissa Simms who is fostering the animal. If you are interested in adopting this kitten, please contact Melissa at melissasimms56@hotmail.com, 234-1253 or 285-PAWS. (PR-PAWS)
