Mt Tapochau Cleanup
On October 22, 2011, the staff, family and friends of both Fiesta Resort and Spa and Saipan Grand Hotel went to Mt. Tapochau to clean the area. Thirty-seven (37) volunteers braved driving the bad roads going up and collected 30 bags with approximate weight of 150 lbs. We removed unwanted weeds and grass, and cleaned the steps.
The volunteers were treated scrumptious breakfast at Shirley's Café. Fiesta Resort & Spa and Saipan Grand Hotel are members of MINA.

Salamat Po and Another Great Job, Shirley's!
Here, in her own words, is what Shirley's manager, Susan Macario, had to say:
"Sharing with you some pictures of the August 27, 2007 clean up of our adopted beach at the Saipan Community School area. We found improvement in the place...less trash this time. After the clean up, we had an after clean up party for all Shirley's August birthday celebrants. Thanks."

Salamat Po, Thank You, and Olomwaay for a terrific job once again, Shirley's! You are AWESOME partners of Beautify CNMI!
Oh, and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO ME AND ALL THE AUGUST BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS. Okay, who ate my cake? LOL!

Thanks to our sponsors!
I have to give a huge thank you to the businesses that supported the Beautify CNMI Micronesia Challenge Summer Camp. Tasi Tours offered to drive the students around to our different field trips all week FREE OF CHARGE. PSS does not have money to pay for gas, so we were extremely lucky that they are so generous.Thank you, Tasi Tours!
We also owe a huge thank you to Ed Salas and Tan Holdings. Mr. Salas heard us on the Harry Blalock Island Issues radio show this morning talking about how we are running the camp on a shoe string budget. On Monday we had P&J sandwiches for lunch, on Tuesday we had the dollar menu at McDonalds, on Wednesday we had baloney and mayo, and due to Tan Holdings generosity, we feasted on Shirley's today.Tan Holdings gave us $100 worth of food!
Thank you, Tan Holdings! Go visit Shirley's at the Thursday Street Market and at the Liberation Day Carnival. Thank them for me!
