DEQ March Cleanup Brigade - Bird Island

Do you smell that? No? That's good! That means no more volcanic haze!

Division of Environmental Quality canceled their cleanup of Bird Island Beach last weekend because of volcanic haze. How cool is that? The event was rescheduled for this past weekend.

The volunteers hiked down the trail with empty bags, cleaned the beach, and then carried the full trash bags back up the trail. Thank you!
